Salary Range: $72,500.00 - $102,500.00

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Mandatory experience required.

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Certification for a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with common hand and power tools used in maintenance work.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, which may include after-hours calls, to minimize disruptions and address critical issues.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, working at heights, and in confined spaces, and enduring various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

A dedicated and skilled HVAC & Maintenance Specialist who will be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems in a commercial setting. This role involves both hands-on technical work and general facility maintenance tasks. The specialist must be proficient in troubleshooting and overhauling complex systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and in compliance with all relevant codes and safety standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain, and calibrate HVAC/R equipment, including controls, pumps, compressors, and electrical components. Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, performing complex repairs and rebuilds as needed.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all building systems, equipment, and grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks.
  • Identify and diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, equipment malfunctions, and general facility problems. Develop and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Monitor the performance of various building systems (e.g., water systems, lighting) and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and comfort.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant building codes and regulations (e.g., British Columbia Building Code).
  • Work effectively with other team members, contractors, and departments to ensure seamless operations and facility upkeep.
  • Assist with managing and maintaining an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts. Request new supplies as needed.
