As an HVAC / Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on with building systems, equipment, and grounds—ensuring everything operates at peak performance while supporting compliance with state and federal regulations. What You’ll Do Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems, including HVAC, electrical controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipment Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems Perform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor electrical work Complete preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans Maintain grounds and outdoor areas (mowing, plowing, sanding, etc.) to ensure safety and appearance Repair furniture, move equipment, and assist with facility upkeep and organization Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance issues, including occasional off-hours calls Operate facility vehicles for errands, deliveries, and pickups Accurately complete work orders and required documentation Support the Maintenance Supervisor and step into leadership responsibilities when needed What We’re Looking For 5+ years of HVAC experience Valid licensure in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, or boiler operation Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heat pumps, compressors, boilers, cooling towers, etc.) Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA safety codes Experience with general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred What We Offer: On-demand access to your earned pay before payday Competitive Pay — Based on Experience MainePERS Pension Plan — for your long-term security Generous Paid Time Off Comprehensive Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Supportive, Mission-Driven Team Environment Growth & Advancement Opportunities Why Join Us?
