PCSI is looking for an HVAC Heavy Technician 3, Lead at FT. SILL, OK. An HVAC Heavy Technician 3, Lead is a Team Leader of HVAC Mechanics as part of a project team executing a facility operations & maintenance (O&M) and repair contract, consisting of 510 buildings. Analyzes and utilizes the PM and job order reports to ensure work does not go delinquent, and briefs supervisor daily on the status of delinquent work. This position will report to the HVAC Supervisor and is based at FT. Sill, OK. Typical work hours will be 0730-1600 Monday through Friday. What You'll Do as HVAC Heavy Technician 3, Lead: * Team Leader of HVAC Mechanics as part of a project team executing a facility operations & maintenance (O&M) and repair contract, consisting of 510 buildings. * Analyzes and utilizes the PM and job order reports to ensure work does not go delinquent, and briefs supervisor daily on the status of delinquent work. * Participates in the site’s training program by conducting and leading training, or assigning a trainer, to team members in upgrade training, documents training records accurately and keeps them current, and provides progress feedback to the HVAC Supervisor. * Provides input, feedback, and data to Planners / Estimators on Project Work Order (PWO) estimates, and schedules team members to execute approved in-house Individual Job Orders IAW the site’s work priority plan. * Research catalogs and on the internet to find suitable replacement parts. * Wears provided PPE as required by the task being performed and promotes a safe working environment. * Leads team’s efforts in installation, O&M, and repair of HVAC, steam and condensate, refrigeration, and compressed air systems, such as package units, split units, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, boilers, heat exchangers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC equipment. * Performs difficult installation tasks involving assembly, testing, calibrating, and adjusting of temperature control and environmental control systems such as air conditioning plants, environmental control systems, air distribution systems, complex dual equipment cooling installations, specialized refrigerated warehouses and facilities, evaporative mechanical ventilation, and dehumidification systems. * Installs new or repaired components, performs complex modifications of systems and components in accordance with applicable electrical publications and directives. * May perform complex repair of system components, such as compressors, condensers, heat pump regulators, fluid and refrigerant gas line valves, meters, and gauges, digital controlled devices, hydronic heating and cooling, and economizer systems. * Executes related duties as assigned. What You'll Need to Be Successful: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Must have five (5) years of recent / relevant HVAC Mechanic, Boiler Tender or HVAC Mechanic Lead experience or demonstrated mechanical ability to perform the assigned duties. * Must possess valid and current EPA Universal Certification. * Must have a Class 3 Boiler License. * Prior Team Lead experience is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Must be willing and able to properly wear all PPE as required by PCSI and all federal, state, and local regulations. * Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, climb ladders, stoop, bend, crouch, and crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. * Able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language. Other Requirements: * Successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, criminal background check, & motor vehicle report. * Maintain valid State of Oklahoma driver’s license and remain insurable to operate Company vehicles. * Must be able to work any time of the day and any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, in all weather conditions using appropriate safety precautions and procedures while being exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
