The Facilities Maintenance Bureau within the Department of Environmental Services [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DES#:~:text=The%20County%27s%20largest%20department%2C%20DES%20handles%20water%20as,trash%2Frecycling%2Forganics%2C%20energy%20and%20sustainability%2C%20transportation%2C%20maps%20and%20more.] (DES) is seeking an HVAC Mechanic II to repair and maintain heating system equipment, air conditioning systems and ventilating systems for multiple sites throughout the County. This position will monitor and diagnose the operation of systems and equipment through the use of Direct Digital Control (DDC) Building Automated System (BAS) and will assist in developing routine corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be performed by staff and contractors.  Supervision is received from the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
The HVAC Mechanic II will repair and maintain heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems across multiple sites. The role includes monitoring and diagnosing system operations and assisting in developing maintenance duties.
