Refrigeration Trainer The Refrigeration Trainer is a senior-level HVAC technical expert responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting hands-on refrigeration and HVAC training programs within the manufacturing environment. This role serves as a subject matter expert in refrigeration systems, brazing, piping, wiring, and system commissioning while ensuring technicians are trained to meet quality, safety, and production standards. The Refrigeration Trainer provides structured training, coaching, and mentorship to HVAC technicians at all levels. This position supports skill development, troubleshooting capability, and adherence to technical standards across the production floor. The ideal candidate combines advanced HVAC technical expertise with the ability to effectively teach, demonstrate, and develop others in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Job Duties: · Champions and reinforces workplace safety and proper refrigerant handling practices. · Delivers hands-on and classroom-style training to HVAC technicians on refrigeration systems, piping, brazing, electrical wiring, and system commissioning. · Develops and maintains technical training materials, procedures, and skill development programs. · Demonstrates proper installation techniques including piping, brazing, wiring, and refrigeration component installation. · Trains technicians to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. · Provides instruction on refrigeration diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system performance verification. · Coaches technicians on nitrogen purging, pressure testing, vacuum pulling, oil charging, and refrigerant charging procedures. · Evaluates technician skill levels and provides feedback to support ongoing development. · Supports onboarding and technical development of new HVAC technicians. · Serves as a technical resource for complex troubleshooting and refrigeration system questions. · Reinforces production quality standards and proper build procedures. · Works closely with production supervisors to identify training needs and skill gaps. · Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing quality and technical processes. · Maintains a clean and organized work and training environment. · Willingly assists other departments as needed and maintains a flexible mindset. · Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements · Associate degree in HVAC, Refrigeration Technology, or related field preferred.
