Description Assist in installation of new heating and cooling systems, and relocation and expansion of existing systems including duct work, furnaces, air conditioners, and/or gas piping. Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent Previous HVAC Installation experience is preferred Certificate of completion from an HVAC technical program is preferred Previous experience reading blue prints is preferred Basic written and verbal English language skills Must have or be able to obtain EPA certification within 3 months of hire enrolled in apprenticeship program, must maintain a minimum C average in Math. Operate company vehicle as needed Work well with customers, co-workers, and other sub-contractors Follow instructions from supervisor and journeyman installers, and carry out in a timely manner Keep job site and company vehicle clean and organized; Be respectful of customer’s homes Verify and load all equipment and materials needed for each job Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times Use of a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, tape measure, hammer and screwdriver; a variety of saws and pipe machines Install HVAC systems, ducting and accessories according to plans and instruction · Maintain a regularly punctual attendance record, fill out daily timecard accurately · Effectively communicate with co- workers and other sub-contractors · Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations · Regular use of personal protective equipment · Come to work ready to work with proper tools and attire · Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes Requirements Valid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance Desire to advance in career through apprenticeship program or on-the-job training Ability to work well independently or as a team Demonstrate basic customer service skills with a willingness to further develop Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 lbs. Ability to work out of town when necessary Ability to work outside in a wide range of temperatures Energetic personality Ability to work in tight or open spaces, and at heights Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
