Austin Industrial is currently seeking a HVAC Technician to join our staff located at Franklin, VA. They must be able to perform installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units throughout the district. Other duties may be assigned.: EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification, must have 5+ years of supervisor experience, manage and continuous evaluation of maintenance program requirements and records, good customer and employee relations, and good leadership skills. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: * Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry. * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses * Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems) * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Experience – 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. * Critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance, finding root cause of failure. * Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems. * Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work alone, with a partner, or as a member of a team maintaining safety, quality & productivity. * Engage in preventative maintenance processes through facility. * Willingness to cross train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities. * Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work order Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Valid Driver's License * HVAC Certification required * Meet physical demands as listed above * Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location * Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment * Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States.
