  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices and compliance obligations
  • Ability to use iPad and mobile apps for time & task reporting
  • A Full (Class 1) NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Due to continued growth, BGIS are seeking HVAC Technician’s to join our dynamic Trades Team in Dunedin. This is a hands-on role supporting maintenance, renovation, and upgrade projects across both residential and commercial environments —working directly with a multi-disciplinary team on long-term, meaningful government client contracts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry Out Maintenance: Perform scheduled servicing and reactive repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across residential and commercial sites
  • Install and Upgrade Systems: Complete installations and upgrades of heat pumps, ventilation, and air conditioning units in line with industry best practices and compliance standards
  • Work With Other Trades: Collaborate with plumbers, carpenters, electricians, and other trade professionals on integrated facility and project works
  • Communicate With Clients: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and ongoing service relationships
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including manufacturer guidelines and New Zealand standards
  • Support Projects: Assist with building renovations and infrastructure upgrades involving HVAC systems from initial planning through to project delivery
  • Demonstrate Leadership: Provide constructive feedback to the Site Foreman and Internal Delivery Manager and help foster a culture of continuous improvement
