POSITION SUMMARY:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across The First National Center. This includes servicing all areas of the property, such as luxury residences, hotel guestrooms, food & beverage outlets, retail spaces, and public areas. The technician ensures optimal system functionality and comfort for guests, residents, and staff, while maintaining compliance with safety and building codes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and applicable codes
- Familiarity with energy management and building automation systems (BMS)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using work order systems, mobile tools, and maintenance software
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience in a commercial or hospitality environment
- Valid EPA Section 608 Certification required
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and lift
- Must be able to lift or move items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, including confined or elevated spaces
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, heat, and noise typical of HVAC environments
- Must be able to wear PPE as required by the job
