We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to support the maintenance operations of a premier luxury beachfront resort. This role is critical in ensuring exceptional indoor comfort, air quality, and system performance across all guest and operational spaces. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and understands the importance of delivering a seamless, world-class guest experience through behind-the-scenes excellence. Key Responsibilities Maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems throughout the resort, including: Guest rooms and suites Fine dining restaurants, bars, and commercial kitchens Spa, wellness, and fitness facilities Ballrooms, conference spaces, and event venues Back-of-house and administrative areas Perform preventative maintenance on chillers, air handlers, split systems, package units, and ventilation systems Monitor and maintain indoor air quality, humidity levels, and temperature control Respond promptly and professionally to HVAC-related service calls and guest concerns Troubleshoot system issues, perform diagnostics, and complete repairs efficiently Maintain and repair cooling towers, pumps, and refrigeration systems as applicable Ensure compliance with all safety standards and Florida/local codes Utilize Building Management Systems to monitor and adjust performance Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives Collaborate on system upgrades and capital improvement projects Maintain accurate service records and equipment logs Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering Qualifications High school diploma or GED Completion of an accredited HVAC apprenticeship program or equivalent experience Minimum of 4 years of hands-on HVAC experience (commercial or hospitality preferred) Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and refrigeration cycles Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Certifications EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred) Journeyman-level experience Valid driver’s license OSHA 10 or 30 (preferred) Preferred Experience Experience in hotels, resorts, or large commercial properties Familiarity with: Chilled water systems and large-scale HVAC equipment Dehumidification systems in coastal environments Kitchen ventilation and refrigeration systems Building Management Systems Experience working in high humidity and salt-air environments Strong customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with guests Experience supporting large events and high-occupancy operations Work Environment Luxury beachfront setting with exposure to sun, humidity, salt air, and varying weather conditions Requires extensive walking, accessing rooftops, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces May involve lifting heavy equipment and working at heights Fast-paced, guest-focused environment requiring professionalism and discretion Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay 401(k) Employee discounts on resort amenities, dining, and accommodations An Equal Opportunity Employer Drug-Free Workplace
