HVAC Technician Benefits Medical and Dental 401K Plan Paid time off and vacation Growth opportunities Paid Training Family owned and operated Long term job security HVAC Technician Responsibilities * Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. * Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. * Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. * Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. * Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. * Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. * Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. * Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements. * Assisting with customers' queries. * Provide emergency service on weekends as needed. * Attend training as required by Facilities Director. * Complete monthly facility safety checks and logs. This includes verifying all areas of building facility is working appropriately including all emergency exit signs, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, and all proper certifications are maintained. * Assist the HVAC Technicians with any HVAC work as needed. This may require overnight work. HVAC Technician Qualifications * High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent * This position requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Ability to safely drive company van * This position requires travel in a company vehicle. * 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician and willingness to continue education in HVAC field * Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols * Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment * Deadline and detail-oriented * Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills * Proficient in reading schematics and work plans * Ability to work in confined spaces * Ability to work independently * Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice * Ability to handle physical workload * Well organized, enjoy working with the public, able to work alone or as part of a team We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
