Midwest Engineering is a growth oriented sales agency serving as a manufacturers agents for various types of Commercial and Industrial Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment. We are looking for an additional service technician with extensive experience on equipment and controls for a position in our Edmonton office.
Position requirements:
- Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic
- Gas Fitter A ticket also an asset
- Experience with large packaged rooftop units, customer air handlers, and heat pumps
- Excellent understanding of building control integration and HVAC systems
- Good organization skills
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer relations skills
- 5 to 10 years experience in the industry
Position duties would include but are not limited to:
- Jobsite diagnosis and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment / system issues
- Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Update equipment knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical bulletins
- Start-up of equipment including but not limited to Heat Pumps, VFD’s, Packaged Rooftop AHU’s, Boilers, Fan Coils, Humidifiers, Indoor AHU’s, etc.
- Travel to jobsites outside of Edmonton will be required, but it is expected to be limited to the Province of Alberta
- On site equipment delivery review, acceptance and coordination
