Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade HVAC systems and equipment. HVAC/R Service Technician Required Skills and Experience: 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance, and repair experience. Graduate of an HVAC technical institute or school. Have hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems (1-50 Tons), Commercial Refrigeration, Boilers (gas and oil-fired), Electrical Troubleshooting, and/or Digital Controls Able to interact with clients to ensure satisfaction and to request referrals. Work cooperatively with others and work independently with little direction. Be able to competently handle a large vehicle (such as a van) including parking and backing up in tight spaces. Ability to learn multiple sizes and types of systems. Learn and understand time constraints associated with specific repairs within time guide standards to follow Supervisor instructions to complete work in a timely manner. Basic record-keeping techniques utilizing web-based applications on a mobile device. Utilize critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and exercises good judgment when completing tasks in an efficient and productive manner. HVAC/R Service Technician Other Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities: HVAC Service Technicians maintain clean vehicle and job site including site preparation and clean up. HVAC Service Technicians must own personal hand tools, meters, and gauges. HVAC Service Technicians maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with clients, co-workers, and subcontractors at all times. HVAC Service Technicians adhere to attendance policy with willingness to work OT. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends/holidays, as necessary. HVAC Service Technicians adhere to and promote the Company Core Values. Work Environment: Must be able to work in all types of climates including extreme hot and cold temperatures. Must be able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and prolonged standing. Must be able to climb ladders.
