Description Job Title: Instructor Department: Training & Technical Development Reports to: VP of Training and Technology Job Description/Qualifications: Strong leadership and communication skills Vertical market technical development Develops knowledge and skills in niche markets such as VRF, Chillers, Hydronic loop systems, boiler service Attends factory training for the purpose of becoming technical expert in specific niches Develops best practices to be executed by the regular service group for specific niches First line of defense for tech support for all field employees Field employee mentorship and development Performs onsite training at customers’ locations Identifies external training opportunities (factory, supply house) Identifies internal training focus topics and helps to develop and/or execute internal training classes Location On-boarding Ensures all proper data is collected and set up in the site for the new location Develops Preventative Maintenance procedures for locations requiring more detail beyond the basic PM scope Tackles complex technical problems Unique problem solving, directly handles multiple time callbacks Callback checkouts and next-steps procedural oversight Conducts QAIs on maintenance or service work In House Classroom Training Responsibilities The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The ideal candidate has real-world HVACR experience and a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of skilled technicians. Develop lesson plans, course materials, and hands on lab experience Provide academic support Evaluate students performance Pursue additional licenses as may be required by the company Works in support of the Company Mission and Vision Statements Requirements Experience/Skills: 10+ years HVACR field service experience Excellent customer service, people and communication skills Possess strong computer and technical skills Ability to multitask and think strategically is a must License Required: MA Refrigeration License or equivalent EPA Certification Valid Driver’s License Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, answer phones, type, and work on computer screen for extended periods of time Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and walking for extended periods of time Lifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van. Other: This role will be part time office work, part time HVAC/R service work An individual must show a willingness to continue to develop skills in the HVACR trade as part of the continued learning process. Must show strong teamwork skills and also be capable of working independently.
