Description

We are now looking for a HW Engineer to join our R&D team in Oulu, Finland. You will be working in RF Power Amplifier and Digital Pre-Distortion team contributing to digital pre-distortion development. You will be collaborating closely with RF Power Amplifier designers, product programs, and other R&D teams driving the optimal radio downlink operation with the newest PA (power amplifier) technologies. You’ll be enabling Nokia 5G and next-generation RF products to meet the specification and providing minimized energy consumption for Nokia customers.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Be responsible for DPD (digital pre-distortion) development and verification for radio products towards maximized efficiency, linearity, and overall RF performance
  • Analyze and troubleshoot RF system issues related to DPD performance
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and procedures for DPD verification
  • Contribute to the innovation and development of new DPD technologies and methodologies

You have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Experience of digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Knowledge of Digital Pre-distortion (DPD) designs and topologies
  • Experienced with MATLAB and Python coding
  • Experience of RF measurement equipment and tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Initiative to investigate and learn new ways of doing
  • Effective teamwork skills and good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of wireless communication standards & regulations (e.g., LTE, 5G, FCC)
  • Understanding of RF system architecture, encompassing both hardware and software interactions
  • Familiarity with industry-standard RF simulation tools is a significant advantage.
