Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Hybrid Building Manager (Caretaker) or subcontractor to oversee daily building operations, resident support, and cleaning services at our residential community. This is a hands-on role combining janitorial work with caretaking/administrative duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Caretaking & Building Management

  • Assist residents, guests, and trades with inquiries, move-ins/outs, and amenity bookings.
  • Conduct routine building inspections (common areas, fire panels, stairwells, service rooms).
  • Communicate issues promptly with the property manager and provide bi-weekly reports.
  • Program and issue fobs/access cards, update intercom/enterphone, post/deliver notices.
  • Oversee tradespeople and contractors, ensuring proper access and supervision.
  • Enforce strata bylaws and safety procedures when needed.
  • Maintain supplies inventory and order consumables (soap, garbage bags, paper products).
  • Monitor security of entrances, parkade, and common areas.

Janitorial & Cleaning

  • Keep lobbies, elevators, hallways, stairwells, parkade, and garbage rooms clean and presentable.
  • Vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect high-touch areas, and wash windows/doors as required.
  • Maintain amenity spaces (kitchen, lounge, fitness room, washrooms).
  • Patrol exterior/courtyard areas for litter and debris.
  • Replace light bulbs as needed (within safe reach).
