OVERVIEW:

firstPRO is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Business Analyst to act as a key liaison between business and IT teams. The Business Analyst will analyze, define, and document system requirements while ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. This role will support ongoing projects and initiatives, driving process improvements, enhancing user experiences, and ensuring successful delivery of IT solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience with system development and requirements gathering.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and business process mapping.
  • Previous business analysis experience with ability to translate business needs into system specifications.
  • Excellent skills in critical thinking, process analysis, and documentation (Visio, LucidChart).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMI-PBA, CBAP, or CAPM certification (in good standing).
  • Agile certifications such as CSM or AAC.
  • Experience in the building or construction industry.

Responsibilities
  • IT Strategy & Planning
  • Provide business and system analysis, troubleshooting, and solution recommendations.
  • Assist with application issue identification and resolution.
  • Support new software implementations and enhancements with detailed business cases.
  • User Experience & Documentation
  • Develop project documentation, including current/future state analysis, requirements, and design specifications.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning artifacts within an Agile framework.
  • Provide testing and reporting support to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Requirements Gathering & Management
  • Facilitate workshops and sessions with business stakeholders to capture and define requirements.
  • Develop functional, reporting, security, and technical requirements, collaborating closely with developers and QA teams.
  • Ensure requirements are translated into actionable system design and test cases.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing
  • Act as liaison between IT and business units to validate new features and functions.
  • Perform unit testing or coordinate with QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Manage and coordinate project-related tasks, ensuring timely completion.
  • Project Analysis & Support
  • Conduct impact assessments, identify risks/issues, and propose resolutions.
  • Communicate project risks, issues, and status updates clearly to stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Lead small project teams or initiatives as required.
  • Tracking & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate logs for issues, risks, and decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver concise status reports.
