    Located in Glebe, Watermark Services Group is a hydraulic consultancy firm which specialises in forensic hydraulic assessments, hydraulic design engineering, remedial work management and expert witness legal assessments. Our growing team of highly experienced consultants are looking for an experienced, versatile, organised and enthusiastic hydraulic consultant who can assist with insurance and strata hydraulic project delivery. The successful candidate will be provided with training to further develop their plumbing industry knowledge and the support needed to progress their career in hydraulic consultancy for the remedial building industry. The successful candidate will be a valued member of our team, preferably working 5 days a week with fun, down-to-earth and inclusive people.

The role is varied, with work spread through various project site locations and in our office in Glebe. The roles tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Attending site inspections and critically appraising site hydraulic infrastructure;
  • Liaising with and conveying detailed information to law firms, insurance companies, strata companies, tradespeople, consultants and other project stakeholders;
  • Researching and understanding relevant background information, including Australian Standards, council building codes and manufacturer’s literature to assist in assessment, report and design preparation;
  • Developing and assisting with the production of detailed reports, remedial work specifications and hydraulic design plans.

The following experience and skills are preferable:

  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in hydraulic consulting;
  • Completed or currently undertaking a Diploma in Hydraulic Services Design or similar;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, and Outlook, and drafting tools such as Bluebeam;
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to conceptualise practical solutions to problems;
  • Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal), with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to relay information in both technical and non-technical language;
  • Ability to coordinate, plan, prioritise, multitask, while working to timeframes;
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment;
  • Availability to travel to destinations throughout greater Sydney and on instance NSW North & South Coasts;
  • Current driver’s licence.
