Description Position Overview: The Hydraulic Cylinder Analyst is responsible for evaluating hydraulic cylinders, valve blocks, and related components to identify root causes of failure and determine appropriate repair, modification, or replacement solutions. This role supports improved product quality, performance, and service life by applying technical analysis, precision measurement, and documentation within the company’s ERP system. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Evaluate hydraulic cylinders and valve blocks to determine primary failure points. Identify seal types, applications, and common failure modes. Apply knowledge of metal-to-metal tolerances, extrusion gaps, and surface finish requirements. Measure hydraulic components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments. Determine correct seal sizes and OEM replacement parts. Accurately record production time in the Made2Manage ERP system. Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) within Made2Manage. Document detailed repair, modification, or replacement procedures in the ERP system. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical documentation. Dependable with a strong attendance and punctuality record. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Physical ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods (7+ hours).
Responsibilities
