Description Hydraulic Cylinder Technician is responsible for disassembly and Assembly, inspecting, cleaning, trouble shooting, conducting failure analysis, ball honing, machine honing, evaluating hydraulic components for estimating and performing maintenance on CAT and Non-CAT Hydraulic Cylinders, Compactors, and Hydraulic breakers and completing quality assurance testing. This role requires a very strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety. Duties and Responsibilities Disassembles and assembles hydraulic components utilizing proper tools Fluent in interpreting blueprints located in SIS Web Understands and Utilizes Hydraulic Schematics. Keep detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and services performed on equipment to correctly write service reports. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly. Performs CAT Inspect on every Hydraulic component. Conducts failure analysis of hydraulic components. Has the ability to machine hone all cylinders. Attend all hands-on training and attend all assigned technical classes to further develop your skills & knowledge. Enters failed part numbers into SIMS database. Efficiently Utilizes CAT Programs such as TMI, HIS, and CAT Interact. Assembles all hydraulic components according to blueprints and specifications. Conducts quality control testing and documents all test results. Operates various types of Light and Heavy equipment for testing purposes. Conducts critical cross training to support the team and other departments. Conducts face to face interactions with the customer to provide superior service as needed. Ships and receives components. Understands daily Operations. Perform other tasks as assigned by Team Leader or Supervisor to support the team and gain experience to further develop your skills. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical education in heavy equipment repair is a plus. A strong interest in mechanical systems, light and heavy machinery. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a desire to enhance technical skills. Proficient in using hand tools, shop presses, drill presses, and sand blast cabinets. Self-Motivated and follows flat rates guidelines. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
