Hydraulic Engineer Building Services | Brisbane Join a collaborative and growing Building Services team delivering high-quality projects across Brisbane and nationally. We are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer with around 3–6 years’ experience to support the delivery of a diverse pipeline of projects across the built environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical capability, gain exposure to complex multidisciplinary projects, and contribute to defence and secure infrastructure work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The opportunity As a Hydraulic Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of hydraulic services across a variety of building projects, working closely with experienced engineers and other disciplines. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery while continuing to develop your design and coordination skills. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key responsibilities * Assist in the design and documentation of hydraulic services including water, sewer, stormwater and gas systems * Support delivery of projects from concept design through to construction * Prepare technical drawings, reports and specifications * Coordinate with internal disciplines including electrical, mechanical, fire and sustainability * Contribute to project delivery ensuring quality, budget and programme outcomes * Work closely with senior engineers and contribute to team collaboration * Support site inspections and stakeholder coordination where required -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About you * Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent relevant qualification) * 3–6 years’ experience within Building Services, ideally in a consulting environment * Understanding of hydraulic design principles and relevant Australian standards * Experience using design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD and Revit * Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team * Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop * Working towards Chartered status (desirable) * Australian citizenship (or ability to obtain baseline security clearance), required due to defence-related project work -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why join * Exposure to a strong pipeline of varied and technically interesting projects * Opportunity to contribute to defence and secure infrastructure projects * Supportive team environment with structured mentoring and development * Clear career pathway within a national consultancy * Flexible and hybrid working options
