SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or specialization in hydraulics is a plus.

Responsibilities
  1. Design & Development:


    • Design hydraulic systems for fire trucks, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and other essential components.

    • Develop hydraulic schematics and diagrams based on technical specifications and requirements for fire truck applications.
    • Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate hydraulic systems with other fire truck systems, such as water pumps, aerial ladders, and rescue equipment.
    • System Testing & Validation:


      • Conduct testing on hydraulic systems to ensure they meet safety, functionality, and performance standards.

      • Perform simulations, troubleshooting, and adjustments to optimize the efficiency and durability of hydraulic systems under real-world conditions.
      • Analyze system failures and recommend improvements based on test results.
      • Maintenance & Support:


        • Provide ongoing maintenance, diagnostic support, and troubleshooting for hydraulic systems in operational fire trucks.

        • Offer technical assistance to service teams to resolve hydraulic issues during routine maintenance or repairs.
        • Ensure systems are compliant with safety regulations and industry standards.
        • Compliance & Documentation:


          • Ensure hydraulic systems comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

          • Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal use and client presentations.
          • Collaboration & Coordination:


            • Work closely with product managers, fire truck designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of hydraulic systems into vehicle designs.

            • Liaise with suppliers to source hydraulic components and materials, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
