Job Description AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities team has an immediate opportunity available for a Hydraulic Engineer III for employment in Bogota, Colombia. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design for diverse projects. Develop floodplain, inundation, and stormwater models. Conduct scour calculations and design mitigation measures. Design and assess linear infrastructure and site drainage systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Execute stormwater runoff modeling and drainage design for urban and rural settings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydrologic and hydraulic solutions into broader project designs. Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in hydrology and hydraulic modeling. Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to entry level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. Qualifications Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design. Proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, ARCGIS, CIVIL3D or similar tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
