Responsibilities
  • Analyze client specifications/drawings and requirements, and recommend suitable hydraulic solutions using internal tools.
  • Communicate with turbine mechanical and generator engineering teams to optimize solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams preparing preliminary component designs, CFD and FEA analyses, and model testing.
  • Perform calculations to optimize the chosen solution and ensure it is executable without exposing ANDRITZ or the client to risks. This includes transient analyses, axial hydraulic thrust calculations, labyrinth selection and sizing, pressure fluctuation level assessments, etc.
  • Write hydraulic proposals and technical datasheets.
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in managing hydraulic risks, notably by identifying potential issues, documenting them, and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Participate in technical discussions with various stakeholders in a spirit of collaboration
