Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re seeking skilled and experienced Hydraulic Fitters to join our day-shift workshop team in Pinkenba. This is a labour hire role through our recruitment partner Haynes People, with the potential to transition to a permanent HMG position for the right candidate.
You’ll work across hydraulic repair, assembly, and testing, with a focus on cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves. This position offers a 38-hour week plus overtime opportunities, with strong prospects for growth in a high-performing, safety-focused team environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and related components
  • Carrying out fault-finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostic work on hydraulic systems
  • Testing, flushing, and commissioning hydraulic components to ensure performance and safety standards are met
  • Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals to complete accurate rebuilds and repairs
  • Machining, honing, and polishing of components as required to meet precise tolerances
  • Fabricating and fitting hydraulic hoses, seals, and fittings, ensuring leak-free and safe operation
  • Maintaining workshop housekeeping standards and adhering to HMG safety protocols at all times
