  • Full UK driving licence (essential, due to site work).
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical/Hydraulic Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Slough. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of mechanical equipment as well as hydraulic systems, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps and valves. This is a hands-on role that involves both workshop-based tasks and field service work at client sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical, hydraulic and related equipment.
  • Strip, assess, and rebuild mechanical and hydraulic components in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Maintain clear documentation of work completed, including service reports and parts used.
  • Liaise with customers on-site to assess issues and carry out repairs in a professional manner.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines and ensure high-quality service delivery.
