ABOUT BRIKERS
We’re fixers - we’ve been rebuilding heavy equipment components for over 25 years. We dismantle whole equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders and rock trucks on site, rebuild the components to their original specifications, and test them on our in-house test bench. POSITION SUMMARY
This position’s primary responsibility is to apply expertise in inspecting each component and evaluating if it is rebuildable before moving forward with rebuild, testing and placing into inventory. The Hydraulic Rebuild Technician will also be responsible for other duties in the rebuild department as required. This position is full-time.
Work hours are between Mon - Fri 7:00am - 3:30 pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience and/or proven mechanical aptitude
· Ability to interpret and accurately follow strict written work procedures
· Demonstrates adaptability: willing and able to adjust to shifting priorities, shows resilience in the face of constraints or frustrations, is not knocked off balance by the unexpected
· Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
· Hands on experience working on mechanical systems
· Must possess an acute attention to detail and the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
· Capable of lifting 30-50 pounds with relative ease
· Demonstrates the manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
· Possess own set of tools

· Inspect, troubleshoots, builds, repairs and tests hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, and valves
· Adhere to quoted order and specific scope of work, component supply, and customer requirements
· parts needed for rebuilds and forwards to Lead-Hand and Director of Operations for approval
· Performs honing and lapping of critical parts required
· Ensures all rebuilt components pass test and if not, prepares a detailed condition reports explaining the reason
· Completes work and test reports according to company procedures and forwards to Lead-Hand
· Documents on the intranet all work completed to the components, including parts used in the rebuild and whether they are new or used, OEM or after market
· Maintains spotless working environment
· Provides technical support to inside sales staff
· Cores to determine if rebuildable and advises Lead Hand on next steps
· Works as a team to continuously improve quality and processes, trains others if required
