ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Applied Industrial Technologies is looking for a full-time Hydraulic Technician/Mechanic based in Surrey, BC, with occasional local field service work.
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic components and systems while supporting the rebuild and growth of the Surrey Field Services shop.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for performing high-quality hydraulic repairs and diagnostics both in the shop and in the field, contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction across diverse industries.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and performing repairs on pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders
  • Conducting failure analysis and preparing detailed condition and test reports
  • Performing system troubleshooting in shop and field environments
  • Assisting with quoting, job assessments, and work scopes
  • Rebuilding and reconditioning hydraulic components to precise specifications
  • Maintaining adherence to quality systems, safety standards, and customer requirements
  • Traveling locally for field service work as required, with access to a company vehicle
  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts through training and technical skill development
