We service customers in a variety of industries: Marine, Forestry, Mining, Material Handling, Original Equipment Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Production facilities. We are in a growing industry with a diverse set of skills and abilities that are critical in the operation of industrial and mobile equipment throughout the country.
Our Calgary branch is currently searching for a Hydraulic Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position in the specialty field of hydraulics.
Hydraulic Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, commissioning, rebuilding or modifying hydraulic fluid systems, controls and components in the field and shop.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical experience in an industrial setting
  • 3+ years experience field service / service calls at customer jobsites
  • Experience in hydraulics with pumps, motors, cylinders, testing and setup is preferred
  • Able to read and understand Schematics and manuals
  • Able to effectively communicate detailed information in a clear and concise manner
  • Knowledge of components and hydraulic systems used in industry and mobile equipment
  • Strong attendance track record with the ability to get along well with others
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills (ability to read and write legibly)
  • Ability to remain on your feet (standing or walking) for the majority of the workday
  • Weight handling up to 75 lbs
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Responsibilities
  • Conduct field service calls for various hydraulically powered systems and machines used in construction, mining, manufacturing, marine and forestry industries
  • Install, replace, and test hydraulic components used in industrial and on mobile equipment at customer work sites and in shop
  • Troubleshoot & Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine corrective actions
  • Installing, and working on hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and filters
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, design drawings and job specifications
  • Keep records of work performed on equipment, including time and material used on jobs/projects
  • Work dutifully with service writers to support the accurate quoting and billing of service work
  • Provides technical support via multiple communication avenues as necessary to all departments as required
  • Be willing and able to work overtime as required
  • Communicate professionally with customers to determine service issues
  • Be familiar and follow all Health & Safety rules & regulations
