You’ll be joining a small team that delivers critical hydraulic repairs and component rebuilds for customers across construction, transport, marine, agriculture and manufacturing. What you’ll be doing Running manual lathes and workshop machinery Fabricating, modifying and repairing hydraulic components Rebuilding valves, pumps, motors and cylinders Cylinder work including re-tubing, re-shafting and re-sealing Keeping the workshop clean, safe and quality-focused Talking with customers about findings and repairs Participation in a three-weekly rotating on-call roster to support the 24/7 breakdown service. Qualifications What you’ll bring: Trade qualification or strong hands-on experience in hydraulics, machining or fitting & turning. Confidence on manual lathes and precision tools. Solid fault-finding skills and mechanical know-how. Good communication and a customer-first mindset. Ability to legally drive in NZ and obtain a full NZ licence. Physically fit for workshop duties. Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently. Flexibility for overtime and on-call roster.
