Description

We have several exciting opportunities for enthusiastic early-career hydrogeologists within our Energy & Resources Group in Warrington, Manchester, or Shrewsbury.
Our team provides hydrogeological, contaminated land, and ground engineering services to the energy and resources sector. We work holistically with diverse teams of specialists to provide high-quality, value-driven services that support energy transition, contribute to a range of local and national projects and frameworks, and support the development of critical infrastructure across the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you’ll apply your expertise across various critical tasks. You will supervise field investigations essential for contaminated site and hydrogeology studies, encompassing drilling, well construction, testing oversight, groundwater sampling, and water level monitoring. Much of your contribution will be scoping, executing, interpreting, and reporting on aquifer tests, ensuring robust data collection and analysis. You’ll also be responsible for preparing high-quality interpretive technical reports that communicate findings, and you’ll provide vital hydrogeological assessment and modelling support to our senior team members.

Responsibilities
  • A BSc or MSc degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
  • Two to five years of experience conducting and reporting on site-based hydrogeological assessments, site investigations, and groundwater monitoring programmes and interpreting and reporting on soil, groundwater, and gas data.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental protection.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in contributing to or delivering Hydrogeological Risk Assessments and Hydrogeological Impact Assessments is not required, but is highly desirable.
  • Experience in numerical groundwater modelling, or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis is not required but would also be advantageous.
  • You must be willing to travel to UK offices and project sites and hold a full, clean UK driving license
