What you’ll do:
- Undertake hydraulic modelling projects using suite of hydraulic models, MIKE-Flood (MIKE 11, MIKE 21), HEC-RAS and TUFLOW as per requirement of the projects. This is coupled to the need to perform hydrologic modelling using programs like RORB.
- Use best modelling practice, procedures and guidelines in the industry and within WaterNSW to undertake projects/tasks as required under the guidance of team leads
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tools, database and GIS for hydraulic / hydrologic modelling projects in accordance with project requirements and produce associated Technical Reports
- Update and maintain the new and existing hydraulic models, modelling tools and products used for wide ranging applications in NSW
- Work collaboratively and effectively, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality modelling outcomes for assigned projects and tasks
