PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work regularly requires considerable dexterity, agility, and strenuous physical exertion such as: climbing and/or working from tall ladders and scaffolding; work in areas where footing is treacherous such as slippery river banks, steep rocky terrain, or fast-moving water; lifting heavy objects weighing 23 kilograms (50 pounds) or more, or crouching or crawling in restricted areas.

Duties As a Hydrological Technician within the FIELD OFFICE - HONOLULU, some of your specific duties will include:

• Making stream discharge measurements at all stages, at times under extremely adverse conditions.
• Performing and reviewing statistical and/or technical analyses of a wide variety of hydrologic data collected in the field.
• Planning and conducting a variety of aquifer tests.
• Conducting quality-assurance review of a wide variety of ground-water records to assure accuracy, uniformity, and compliance with technical standards.
• Operates a Government vehicle as an incidental driver.
