SUMMARY

As a Hydrovac Operator for Polar Communications, you will work with our field technicians to install, repair and replace underground telecommunications lines. Experienced in supporting utility maintenance or construction projects, you will safely daylight, trench and soft excavate around utilities to provide a positive customer experience while delivering on Polar’s commitment to our Telecom partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate Hydrovac truck and equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment in good working condition at all times and complete all required documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues
• Follow company safety standards, policies and procedures at all times
• Aspire to work in a team environment with increased responsibly being expected
• Other duties as assigned

• Complete work in a timely and safe manner with a solutions focused, positive attitude
• Work with minimal supervision, both independently and collaboratively in a team
• Share your knowledge with field technicians to develop their skill level
• Meet the physical requirements of the position including lifting up to 40lbs in all types of weather conditions
