Description The Hydrovac Driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans. Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle Ensure proper equipment is loaded on vehicle prior to leaving the yard Fill out Log Book Coordinate with dispatch office for job assignments, maps, special instructions, etc… Operate high-pressure wands and vacuum hoses for trenching, potholing and excavation Drive water truck Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route Operate pump Prepare post trip for any damaged equipment Load hoses on and off of truck Complete logs, Job Safety Analysis, vehicle inspection reports, way bills, BBS cards, fuel reports Employees in this position are considered confidential, maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with business information Report all incidents or unsafe actions and/or worksites to supervisors Must complete jobs in order and notify supervisor or dispatcher of any uncompleted jobs Must be able to work outside in all types of weather Must be able to be on 24 hour call on scheduled days The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Requirements Must be able to pass a valid pre-employment drug test Must have general knowledge of water hauling Must have a driving record free of careless driving/accident in the past 3 years The employee will be asked to regularly carry 80 lbs Must be able to follow directions and be aware of all safety policies Must be willing to learn & abide by applicable safety laws/rules Must have the ability to multi-task and establish priorities Must have the ability to read, write and speak English effectively Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, sit, talk, and listen. The employee is required to use hands to handle, operate or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Must possess a valid driver’s license and CDL with a tanker endorsement
