QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dental Office Experience: Prior experience in a Canadian dental office, specifically in hygiene coordination. Knowledge of Canadian dental insurance processes is essential.
  • Proficiency in ABELDent: Proficiency in ABELDent software is highly preferred. Familiarity with other practice management software is also valued, along with a positive, proactive approach to learning new tools.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a patient-focused and empathetic approach.
  • Detail-Oriented & Flexible: Ability to adapt to shifting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, while keeping a constructive, upbeat mindset. Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate patient scheduling needs.
  • Availability: We are looking for someone ready to step in right away to ensure a smooth transition and uphold our high standards of care.
Responsibilities
  • Patient Coordination & Support: Serve as a primary contact for hygiene patients, educating them about preventive care and appointment details while addressing their questions or concerns with a supportive approach.
  • Scheduling Hygiene Appointments: Coordinate and optimize scheduling for hygiene visits, minimizing gaps and cancellations. Follow up with patients to confirm appointments and keep schedules running smoothly.
  • Insurance & Accounts: Handle insurance claims for hygiene-related services, ensuring accurate billing and timely follow-ups. Maintain up-to-date patient accounts and records using ABELDent software.
  • Front Office Administration: Greet patients warmly, assist with onboarding, and update their records. Support the Office Manager with administrative tasks to ensure seamless hygiene operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical hygiene team to prepare patients for their appointments and foster a supportive and efficient workplace.
