OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
  • Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information in medical documentation
  • Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when necessary
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
  • Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when applicable
  • Support hygienist with coronal polishing and sealant applications

  • Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and medical coding is essential
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus
