JOB TITLE: HYGIENE OPERATIVE – FOOD PROCESSING PLANT

Location: BonCulina UK, Colchester Business Park, Colchester, Essex
Salary: Competitive rate above national minimum wage (TBC)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 13:00 – 21:30 (40-hour week)
Employment Type: Full-time

Based at our facility in Colchester Business Park, we are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Industrial Hygiene Operative to join our team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Previous experience in industrial hygiene or a cleaning role in a food production environment is preferred, though not essential.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards such as HACCP and GMP is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot and cold environments).
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • A good understanding of Maths including percentages to calculate solution strengths
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work the specified shift pattern.
  • Ability to dismantle and reassemble equipment’s (after training)
Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment within the plant, ensuring food safety standards are met.
  • Identifying any areas that need attention.
  • Work in both hot and cold environments, ensuring hygiene protocols are followed in all areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning and hygiene activities.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with health and safety guidelines. (COSHH training given)
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure effective hygiene procedures are implemented during shifts.
