Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that all aspects of the hygiene teams’ activities, maintaining continuous hygiene standards.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to the cleaning team to meet site requirements.
  • To maintain high standards by monitoring the work completed and making any changes for improvement
  • Recruit and coach the cleaning team to achieve best results by having open and continuous conversations together for development
  • Communicate daily with store representatives to resolve issues and build positive working relationships.
  • Maintain budgets for use of all equipment, stock and on rota planning.
  • Lead colleague inductions covering health and safety training and role expectations
  • Ensure all employee training is recorded in line with company policies
  • Handle grievance, disciplinary or welfare matters as required with the support of the area management team and HR.
  • Accurately report sickness and ensure absence levels are managed correctly
  • Other duties reasonably expected to deliver an effective and efficient service to our customer

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • You must have right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience as a Cleaning Manager or Supervisor is desirable or ability to lead the team
  • Experience in staffing, rotas, training, and basic HR compliance is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise as well as being flexible with working hours and days
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
