Are you an experienced hygiene professional ready to take the next step in your career? One of our valued clients, a well established food manufacturing company, is currently seeking a Hygiene Supervisor to join their team and take charge of maintaining impeccable hygiene and cleanliness standards across the site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in hygiene operations and team supervision, particularly within a food production environment.
As Hygiene Supervisor, you’ll work closely with the Hygiene Lead to oversee the hygiene team, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to the highest standards. You’ll take ownership of daily hygiene operations, making sure the site is always audit ready, safe, and compliant with internal and external regulations.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene Certificate
  • COSHH Training
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the hygiene team: manage rotas, holiday cover, task allocation, and training
  • Ensure adherence to cleaning schedules and hygiene SOPs
  • Oversee the safe use of cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards and ensure accurate documentation
  • Report hygiene and safety concerns to Production and Technical teams
  • Monitor PPE usage and maintain compliance
  • Manage cleaning supply stock levels and place orders as required
  • Support post-maintenance cleaning and engineering-related hygiene tasks
  • Ensure audit readiness at all times
  • Deliver staff training and assist with onboarding new hygiene team members
  • Conduct GMP/hygiene audits and follow up on corrective actions
  • Assist with microbiological investigations and non-conformance analysis
