JOB SUMMARY:

The dental hygienist prescribes all aspects of oral hygiene for the clients they treat. Friendly patient care and maintenance of good oral hygiene is the practice focus.

Responsibilities:

• Prescribing patient oral hygiene, maintenance and scheduling patients for future oral care is the primary responsibilities of the dental hygienist with a focus of friendly patient care and maintenance of good oral hygiene. • establishing rapport with patients
• enter billing or treatment performed
• complete clinical charting notes
• follow-up phone contact with patients
• entre treatment planning as prescribed during recall
• prepare predeterminations for perio maintenance patients
• taking digital x-rays as prescribed
• reporting low inventory of dental hygiene supplies
• maintenance of dental hygiene equipment

Working Conditions:

• Clinical and office environment; limited exposure to hazardous materials

Education/Experience:

• Graduate of Dental Hygiene Program and registered with College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, and
• New grads welcome
