Now Hiring : Dental Hygienist - Garner II We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting our patients’ long-term oral health, providing preventive care, and creating a positive, welcoming experience at every visit. You’ll work under general supervision from the dentist and collaborate closely with our clinical team to ensure exceptional patient care. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities include (but are not limited to): * Prepare, disinfect, and fully stock the treatment room for each appointment. * Update patient health histories, take blood pressure, and gather visit information. * Educate patients about their oral health needs, treatment options, and long-term outcomes. * Provide Soft Tissue Management (STM) and customize home-care plans for periodontal patients. * Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain clean, organized, and professional treatment and lab areas. * Document patient conditions, medical/dental histories, treatment notes, and patient feedback. * Perform hygiene treatment procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, coronal polishing, and fluoride applications. * Manage and oversee non-surgical periodontal therapy programs. * Expose digital radiographs. * Lead the preventive maintenance program and partner with the hygiene assistant on recall systems. * Maintain inventory control in hygiene rooms. * Sharpen and sterilize periodontal instruments. * Work independently with recurring and routine tasks. * Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies. * Support the office by helping earn 5-star Google reviews through exceptional patient experiences. * Other duties as assigned. ---------------------------------------- SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES * Demonstrated excellence in planning, time management, and organizational skills. * Proficient in computer and digital systems * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport. * Consistently maintains a professional, patient-focused demeanor and delivers compassionate care. ---------------------------------------- JOB REQUIREMENTS * Graduation from a two- to four-year accredited Dental Hygiene Program with CEU certifications. * Current state licensure in good standing. * Current CPR certification. * Ability to lift 15–20 lbs.
