Description Salary Range: $52,084 - $63,622 Location: Monroeville, PA Department: Wound Care Center Reports To: Regional Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: Day Shift – Shift hours may vary in accordance with patient needs Position Summary SerenaGroup is seeking a Hyperbaric Oxygen Technician to join our Wound Care Center in Monroeville, PA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and effective operation of hyperbaric chambers and equipment during hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) treatments. You’ll work closely with our medical team, ensuring patient safety, providing technical support, and delivering high-quality care every step of the way. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate hyperbaric chambers and related equipment according to established protocols and safety standards. Prepare patients for HBOT by reviewing medical history, explaining procedures, and answering questions. Monitor patients throughout therapy sessions—watching for signs of distress or complications and responding quickly if needed. Maintain accurate treatment records, equipment logs, and safety checklists. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of hyperbaric equipment and chambers. Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines, including infection control and fire prevention. Assist with emergency response procedures and participate in safety drills. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, effective patient care. Keep the treatment environment clean, organized, and properly stocked. Stay up to date with advances in hyperbaric technology and participate in ongoing training as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in healthcare or a related field preferred. Previous experience as an LPN or MA. Certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Hyperbaric Technician (CHT, DMT, or EMT). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Prior experience in hyperbaric medicine, respiratory therapy, EMT, or a related healthcare field is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to assist with patient transfers and move/lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to operate technical equipment
