Remarkable People, trusted by clients to design and advance the world Wood Commissioning is recruiting for an experienced I&C Commissioning Engineer to support EDF at Hinkley Point C (HPC). Ideally based locally to the Bridgwater area, the successful candidate will be engaged on a 12 month rolling PAYE contract and work Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis, comprising of a minimum 4 days a week in office / onsite at HPC, Bridgwater, Satellite offices. #LI-Onsite  #LI-Hybrid  The Role The Hinkley Point C Project is split into programmes aligned to either plant islands or discipline-based scope. Each programme will be delivered in part by EDF Nuclear New Build (NNB) resources and in part through one or more (interrelated) major contracts. The NNB Commissioning Team forms part of the wider Commissioning / Operations organisation and is responsible for taking over systems following their erection and / or pre-commissioning and performs the required commissioning activities at component, sub-system and system levels prior to integrated testing.  As an I&C Commissioning Engineer, you will be a Subject Matter Expert for commissioning of industrial instrumentation and control systems, as well as their integration with the plant systems. You will be reporting to a Senior Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Manager and will also be involved in both pre-commissioning and post-commissioning activities. When in operation it will deliver circa 3,260MW of secure low carbon energy to the UK energy network, which is enough energy to power approximately 6 million UK homes.
