We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join and support a multi-disciplinary project teams. The successful candidate will: Serve as, or support, the instrumentation discipline design lead. Perform instrument and valve sizing and selection for heavy industrial plants. Apply knowledge of industrial networking protocols and ICS security. Prepare engineering drawings and documentation, including instrument indices, control philosophies, P&IDs, instrument data sheets, instrument location plans, loop drawings, cable schedules, PLC and panel drawings. Prepare and evaluate bid documents for materials and contracts. Review vendor shop drawings for compliance with project requirements. Assist in preparing material costs and project timing estimates. Travel occasionally to project sites as required. Sign and/or seal technical documents, including drawings, specifications, data sheets, engineering lists (equipment, pipeline, tie-in points, valves, etc.), and calculations. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering P.Eng. designation with APEGS (or eligibility to obtain) 4–10+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering within heavy industrial environments Proven experience with instrument and valve sizing and selection Hands-on site experience, including field instrument selection and installation Familiarity with industrial networking protocols and ICS (Industrial Control System) security Experience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation: P&IDs, instrument data sheets, loop drawings, cable schedules, PLC/panel drawings Experience reviewing vendor shop drawings and preparing material/cost estimates Ability to sign/seal technical documents where applicable Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multi-discipline project teams Willingness to travel to project sites as needed Health and Dental Benefits.
