The I&C QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for implementing and maintaining QA/QC procedures for Instrumentation & Controls installations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications and standards, conduct inspections, support commissioning activities, and maintain quality documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Hands-on experience inspecting and verifying I&C installations.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, IEC, ISA, ISO).
  • Proficient in QA/QC documentation practices (e.g., ITPs, test reports, NCRs).
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and pre-commissioning procedures.

EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and inspection plans for all I&C installations, including field instruments, control panels, and process control systems.
  • Review construction work to ensure compliance with specifications, industry standards, and codes (NFPA, NEC, IEC, ISA, ISO).
  • Conduct routine inspections of I&C systems including cable routing, terminations, tubing, junction boxes, marshalling panels, and PLC/DCS connections.
  • Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams daily to maintain alignment and quality control.
  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and material submittals for I&C systems.
  • Witness and document loop checks, point-to-point tests, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Monitor installation quality of transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and associated wiring.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and ensure closure after re-inspection.
  • Maintain complete QA/QC documentation: loop folders, calibration records, test reports, and punch lists.
  • Ensure calibration and certification of all test equipment.
  • Participate in daily QA/QC meetings, walkdowns, and readiness reviews.
  • Support system turnover documentation and client handover.
  • Provide feedback on contractor workmanship and drive quality improvements.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
