Job Summary Day to day Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance of our Louisiana / East Texas natural gas processing plants, compressor stations, pipelines and gathering system. Key Accountabilities Assists with Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance of natural gas processing plants, compressor stations, pipeline associated equipment including but not limited to: 1. Dehy, Amine, Compressor Plant Power, and control systems 2. Pipeline Compression Station and Emergency valve Communications, Power, and controls 3. Electronic flow meters (orifice, Mag, Turbine, and ultra-sonic measurement) and relative equipment 4. Pressure, flow, level, and temperature indicating equipment. 5. Compressor and PDC building safety equipment (fire and gas sensing equipment) 6. Programmable Logic Controllers 7. Ignition and SCADA systems 8. Gas chromatograph, H2O, CH4, H2S, O2, H, and CO2 analyzing equipment 9. Remote valve controls and logic 10. Rebuild control valves, regulators and XV actuators 11. H2S scavenger equipment 12. Uninterruptible power-supply systems 13. Fiber and cellular communications and networking 14. Emergency Generator Controls 15. Heat Trace Systems 16. RO systems 17. Implements safe work practices and a proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the employee, the public, and the environment always. 18. Performs other duties and special projects as may be assigned by supervisor. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements * Currently enrolled in an Associate degree program or technical certification from an accredited institution. * Graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to begin college in the fall are eligible to apply if they will be at least 18 years of age prior to their start date. A college acceptance letter must be provided. * Students must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA * College students will be asked to provide an official transcript as proof of eligibility prior to receiving an offer of employment.  Other Requirements:  * Some assignments will require driving. Those positions will require the student to have a valid driver’s license, a reliable means of transportation, and an acceptable driving record. * Effective communication skills. * High integrity and self-motivated. * Basic computer skills. * Good communication, problem solving and physical perceptive skills. * Ability to prioritize and handle multiple job requests in a timely manner. * Works well as a member of a group or team.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist with the daily instrumentation and electrical maintenance of natural gas processing plants, compressor stations, and pipeline systems. Responsibilities include maintaining control systems, flow meters, safety equipment, and communication networks to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
