Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the Information Management Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, conducting process analysis, managing application enhancements and projects, coordinating with vendors and solution teams, and ensuring successful delivery through testing and user acceptance processes. This role serves as the key liaison between business users, development teams, and external vendors to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into effective technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed enhancements and projects. Prepare detailed User Requirement Specifications (URS). Perform process analysis and process modelling activities. Act as the primary communication bridge between end-users, solution teams, and vendors. Application Support & Issue Management Investigate and analyze user-reported issues. Define and agree on issue scope and terms of reference. Coordinate with technical teams to identify root causes and recommend solutions. Prepare issue analysis reports and communicate findings to stakeholders. Raise data extraction requests when required to support investigations. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop Test Plans and Test Scenarios. Execute application testing and validate delivered solutions. Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Monitor testing progress to ensure timely and quality deliverables. Project & Vendor Management Manage assigned projects and enhancement initiatives from initiation to delivery. Develop and maintain project timelines and implementation schedules. Coordinate with vendors and internal solution teams to ensure smooth project execution. Track project milestones and escalate issues where necessary. Ensure projects and enhancements are delivered on time and meet business requirements. Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with business users and stakeholders. Communicate project updates, risks, and issues effectively. Escalate critical issues to team leaders and management when required. Requirements Experience Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst. Experience within the Insurance industry is highly preferred. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and system implementation projects. Technical Skills Experience in business requirements gathering and documentation. Familiarity with application development environments and software delivery processes. Knowledge of Java and internet/web technologies will be advantageous. Experience in application testing, UAT management, and issue analysis. Domain Knowledge Experience in one or more of the following areas is advantageous: Insurance Claims Processing Policy Administration Finance Operations Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Good listening and requirement elicitation skills. Strong organizational and time management capabilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Self-motivated with a positive learning attitude. Able to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
