POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Technician with an HVAC background to join our residential team. This role is primarily responsible for performing duct cleanings, Aeroseal duct sealing, and installing IAQ solutions such as UV lights, microstatic filters, and advanced air purification systems. In addition to IAQ-focused work, this technician will also perform HVAC maintenance calls as needed. The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to educate homeowners on the benefits of cleaner, healthier air.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Background in HVAC as a technician, installer, or duct cleaning specialist (2+ years preferred).
• Hands-on experience with duct cleaning equipment, Aeroseal, or IAQ product installations strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills — able to explain technical solutions in simple terms.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Work in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and other residential environments.
• Ability to use ladders, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods.

• Perform residential duct cleaning services, ensuring proper setup, cleaning, and post-cleaning verification.
• Conduct Aeroseal duct sealing installations, including system prep, sealing process, and performance testing.
• Install and maintain IAQ products such as:
• UV germicidal lights
• Microstatic and high-efficiency filters
• Whole-home humidifiers/dehumidifiers
• Air purification and ventilation systems
• Run HVAC maintenance calls and inspections to ensure system efficiency and comfort.
• Identify IAQ improvement opportunities during service visits and communicate recommendations to homeowners.
• Educate customers on IAQ product benefits and proper usage/maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and customer notes in company systems.
• Follow all safety standards and manufacturer guidelines during duct cleaning, Aeroseal, and IAQ installations.
• Assist with training or mentoring team members as IAQ business grows.
