REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in English, Literature or a related field.
• Proven teaching experience in IB English Literature.
• Ability to connect literature to contemporary issues and student experiences.Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities.

TEACHING DUTIES:

• Teach IB English Literature at both MYP and DP levels.
• Expose students to a variety of genres, authors, and cultural contexts in literature.
• Train students in analytical writing and critical thinking within English Literature.
• Guide students through internal and external IB assessment requirements.Contribute to curriculum enrichment activities in literature and the arts.

NON-TEACHING DUTIES:

• Participate in professional duties as necessary outside of the scope of the school day (e.g. Field trips, professional development on weekends as needed, and after school meetings as required)
• Supervise duties at break/lunch and/or other unstructured times
• Lead/coach an after school CCA (co-curricular activity)Assist in internal sub coverage according to department needs
